We are a unique marina that is family owned and operated.
Our mission is to maintain a pristine facility that supports
fellow boaters and enthusiasts in enjoying their passion for
the water, while preserving the environment and the precious
resources of the Chesapeake Bay.
Our history dates back to 1931 when Fred Conrad Sr. purchased
a 15 acre peninsula located in the Middle River area on Frog
Mortar and Armstrong Creek, tributaries of the Chesapeake
Bay. This acquisition marked the beginning of a restaurant
and tavern business that catered to local fishermen renting
row boats at a neighboring boat yard. The business was named
Conrad’s Ruth Villa, which has grown to become a model for on-site catering, hosting both large and small events including weddings, graduations, corporate functions, and church outings.
In 1995, environmental changes initiated a process to search
out ways to better utilize resources of the land without negatively
impacting the environment. The concept of Parkside Marina
was conceived and the project emerged to completion in 1999.
Parkside’s uniqueness runs as deep as its origin. The
manicured grounds and overall cleanliness of the facility
will be your first clue of Parkside’s distinct appeal.

Our amenities feature air-conditioned
restrooms and shower facilities, floating docks featuring
126 slips with finger piers, individually metered power pedestals,
free Wi-Fi, a pump-out station, winter wet storage, picnic and swimming
areas, as well as provisions for private parties and catered
business functions at our newly renovated banquet room, "The LookOut". The LookOut accommodates up to 65 guests and is available for rental year-round.
Together, Parkside Marina and Conrad’s Ruth Villa offers a picturesque setting which will be certain to enhance your boating experience. Our friendly staff that bridges four generations remains committed to maintain a level of excellence that our clients have grown to expect.
